The Brief
The original garden in Hadleigh was dominated by an ageing, uneven lawn and lacked a defined, functional layout. Our client wanted to transform the garden into a clean, modern outdoor living space that connected directly to the kitchen.
The client requested a new porcelain patio area flush with the indoor flooring threshold, fresh lawn turfing, raised planter beds for structure, decorative timber slatted fencing for privacy, and a bespoke outdoor bar area for entertaining family and guests.
Our team designed a structured layout that balanced durable hard landscaping surfaces with natural timber detailing and a lush lawn, delivering a low-maintenance garden finished to the highest standard.

What We Installed
We began by excavating the existing plot, removing the old turf and preparing solid sub-base foundations. Directly outside the kitchen threshold, we laid a smooth porcelain patio and connecting pathway, creating a level and clean surface for outdoor furniture.
A central lawn section was re-turfed using premium rolled turf over freshly prepared topsoil. We constructed raised planter beds around the garden boundaries using solid timber sleepers to add structural height and planting zones.
Along the boundary wall, our team installed contemporary slatted timber fencing to enhance privacy. We also built a custom outdoor bar structure complete with timber cladding and durable stone countertops, creating a dedicated entertaining feature.

Crisp, slip-resistant porcelain paving tiles laid on a full mortar bed for the main terrace and access path.
Rolled Turf
High-quality cultivate rolled lawn turf laid over screened topsoil to establish a vibrant, healthy green lawn.
Timber Slatted Fencing & Sleepers
Pressure-treated timber slatted fence panels and solid railway sleepers used for retaining planters.
Outdoor Bar & Stone Worktops
Timber-framed bar unit clad with slatted timber and fitted with hard-wearing stone worktop surfaces.
The Finished Garden

Maintenance Suggestions
To keep your porcelain paving, lawn turf and timber features looking their best, we recommend following these care guidelines:
Porcelain Paving Care
Porcelain is non-porous and easy to maintain. Sweep away loose leaves and dirt regularly, and wash down with clean water and mild soap as needed. Avoid harsh wire brushes or abrasive chemicals.

Wipe down stone worktops after outdoor food or drink preparation with a damp cloth and warm soapy water. Cover or protect outdoor kitchen structures during winter months.
