A Fence Stands or Falls on the Posts
Most fencing failures aren’t about the panels. They’re about posts that weren’t set deep enough or weren’t concreted properly. A fence put up quickly will come down quickly the next time the wind picks up.
We dig out properly, set posts at the right depth in concrete and use gravel boards where they belong. The result is a fence that stands, sits straight and lasts.
We install new fencing, replace tired or damaged runs and tie new fencing in with existing patios, lawns and edging.

Closeboard, Timber and Composite
Different materials and styles suit different boundaries. The right one for you depends on look, budget and how much maintenance you’re prepared to do.
Closeboard Fencing
Vertical feather-edge boards on rails and posts. Strong, traditional, repairable board by board, and well suited to boundary fencing. We also fit closeboard with concrete posts for a longer-lasting run.
Timber Fencing
A range of timber panels and styles including feather-edge, lap and decorative panels. A flexible, lower-cost option installed properly on solid posts.
Composite Fencing
Composite boards in proper posts. Higher upfront cost but holds colour, needs very little upkeep and gives a cleaner, modern look.
Beyond the main materials above, we also carry out custom fence construction for unusual boundaries, new garden fencing where no fence currently exists, and garden boundary fencing to define or secure a plot. If your existing run has failed, our full fence replacement service removes the old fencing and starts again on properly set posts. As a dedicated fence contractor, our garden fence fitters and garden fence installation teams work to the same standard on every job. We also supply and fit a full range of gates, including garden gate installation, wooden garden gates, bespoke garden gates, side gate installation and timber gate installation. For a low-maintenance alternative to timber, see our composite fencing page.
Why We Visit Before Giving You a Price
A solid fence relies on properly set posts and the right materials for the boundary. A site visit lets us check the boundary length, post depth requirements, and ground conditions before discussing a realistic price. It also gives you the chance to talk through panel styles, height, and what you want from the finished fence.
Discuss Your Fencing Needs
We discuss how you want the finished boundary to look, the height you need and whether privacy or security is the main goal.
Assess the Boundary
We check the boundary length, ground conditions, access, and any old fencing or vegetation that needs removing before work starts.
Review Panel and Post Options
We talk through suitable materials like closeboard or composite, post options and realistic alternatives for the property and budget.
Provide an Accurate Quote
The visit helps us understand the preparation, labour and fencing materials involved before we usually provide the initial price by phone.
