We dig out the existing surface, install a properly compacted sub-base, lay weed membrane and bring the grass up to neat edges against patios, paths and edging. Seams are joined properly, not just butted together.
Where it ties into a new patio or new fencing, we plan the levels so everything finishes cleanly.
